More and more systems get connected to form systems-of-systems (SoS), in order to achieve better process flows across organizational borders, create new services, automate operation, or improve quality. However, this also means that the constituent systems become dependent on others, and this can raise issues of trustworthiness that are difficult to deal with. In this presentation, challenges related to safety, security and privacy risks in cyber-physical SoS are discussed. A method based on systems thinking is outlined, as well as future approaches that dynamically analyze and respond to risks.
